Our Client is successful manufacturing company involved in fabricating and assembling steel and aluminum structures for manufacturing, Aerospace, construction etc industries in Lagos Nigeria. They are in need of a
Fabrication Engineer.
The Fabrication Engineer would be required to work closely with other professionals, including engineers and surveyors, to make sure that all buildings meet the necessary standards and also work closely with construction specialists on site and oversee projects from beginning to end.

Fabrication Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Produce CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards for specific steel architectural or interior design tasks from general design information in accordance with established standards, procedures, and client requirements.
• Compile data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings and design layouts.
• Preparing and presenting steel design proposals to the client and advise the client on the practicality of their project
• Produce steel drawings and specifications that have been red-lined by others.
• Research and develop steel design and product solutions and present them for consideration.
• Inspect architectural or interior design features on project sites and records conditions.
• Interface with other project team members to set goals and meet shared deadlines.
• Work within financial budgets and deadlines; producing detailed drawings from which costing are made
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

• Must have a B.Sc Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
• Must have hands on experience in steel building construction
• Must have experience using AutoCAD and other drawing solutions
• 3-5Years working of experience is required
• Project management experience is desirable
• Must have the ability to write technical proposals and hands on experience working in a construction or engineering environment.
• Must posses a working knowledge of architectural standards, practices, and techniques, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in sketching, rendering, model-building, and presentation drawing. Proficiency in other PC software packages typically associated with architectural technology is desirable.
