Is it okay for a pregnant woman to take(drink) pepper soup?? |

Yea. But you have to know what you are eating. A doctor friend revealed that some spices may not be OK for a pregnant woman. He noted particularly the spice known in Igbo as uziza which is popularly used to prepare peppersoup for newly delivered. His opinion is that the spice is useful in effecting complete discharge of the womb. So, you can imagine if the womb is being contracted or discharged with foetus inside. That's his opinion anyway, so I can not say for sure. But if you are pregnant, ask a doctor before you take anything. 1 Like |
