..when the federal government created the national open university of Nigeria.it was with a desire to stem the rising incapacity of the existing schools to accommodate the growing number of desiring students in Nigeria. Then the sitting president led by example and enrolled into the institution.

The institution can be credited to have graduated tens of thousands of Nigerians even though graduates of the traditional conventional university discredit graduates from NOUN.

It is true that an oral communication as a means of knowledge transfer has been proven to be the best ways to impact knowledge even though text books from NOUN as very comprehensive.

Recently, starting from the just concluded / currently ongoing exams...

It's is an open secret that ALL The exams questions of the said exams have been leaked and 99 % of student don't even bother reading..they simply pay 500 to obtain such from their different class reps.
And subsequently finish exams in less than 30mins in.most cases..

This is a sad development for the education sector and the government MUST act to stem the trend.
In.my firm, we have currently stopped receiving applications from graduate of that school as diffrent interview experience showed the total lack of awareness of anything concerning whatever the graduates claims to study...what a pity!!!!!
