IKWERE PEOPLE UNHAPPY WITH ATIKU’S CHOICE (PETER OBI) AS RUNNING MATE AHEAD OF ELECTIONS.


It is undoubtedly true to say that the IKWERE people of Rivers state in Nigeria are not in support of PDP (people’s Democratic Party) Presidential candidate for the 2020 General Elections.

This Report is based on news we’ve received from some Indigenes and few non Indigenes based on the matters arising.

During the interview of one Mr. Chimanmadu of Choba community. He said and I quote


“Why will choose an igbo man as his running mate, Infact that singular act will make us not to vote for him. He should have chosen Nyesom Wike”

It is Undoubtedly clear and true that majority of minority tribes in Rivers state are Unfriendly towards the Igbos some of which are the Omok, Ikwere, Ogoni just to mention but a few and this long history of hate and igbo-phobia have existed just after the civil war Between The so called Biafran and Nigerian. This and so many reasons either politically motivated or tribally ignited might be the reasons why the minority tribe have disapproved the PDP presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
