What is Household vulnerability assessment form (HVA)
Household vulnerability assessment form is a tool used in the USAID and UNAID funded LOPIN projects for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) programs. The household vulnerability assessment form (HVA), as the name implies, is used to assess and evaluate the vulnerability status of a household if eligible for enrolment and for the household to be provided care, support, referral or linkage. This is usually base on their need or exposure to risk. The vulnerability status is usually scored with grades as listed thus:Most vulnerable: 21-32 More vulnerable: 14-20 Vulnerable: 9-13 Not vulnerable: 7-8.
