Yesterday, we had to fully unleash antispambot on this board. If you look at the board, you will notice how scanty the topics are. This is because someone from a book website unleashed a spam bot on the board.
The bot created over 300 topics. These topics were mainly adverts and would have taken close to nine pages of the board. We are supposed to have about 30+ topics on each page. If you go through the pages from 1-11 or so, you will notice how scanty they are.
For us, the mods, all we see is a place that is rigged with hidden topics. We will work on that soon.
Although I'm not also a fan of antispambot, it is essential at this point. I sat here since some minutes after 5pm to 7:30, hiding these topics, which were created by the minute. When I couldn't go further, exhausted, I had to reach out to mynd44 and Obinnau...

I'm telling you this because you need to understand that antispambot will trouble you a lot these few days.
To avoid this,
Avoid

• Using any link or suspicious ones

• Creating very long topics

• Any form of adverts



In case, you are banned I.e you notice you can't post or comment,

1. Go to the literature board
2. Click on the send a message to moderators
3. We will check your work and act accordingly.

Your antispam bots are rubbish, they keep hitting the wrong targets. I personally can't count the number of times I've been hit by them over nothing. You guys should upgrade. I have stopped posting stories on nairaland because it's a fifty fifty chance that you get hit by the antispam bot for no reason

Sorry about that. If not for the bots, the forum would have been littered with too much spam you won't find it funny. If you had seen this board on Thursday, you would have thanked God for the spam bots. The "mail mods" and "mail supermods" links are there so the mods can undo spambot activity promptly.

Please something has to be done about this antispambot. I posted a story https://www.nairaland.com/5058331/double-edged-sword and I was banned immediately after the first post. I posted 1 chapter and was banned again. Posted another chapter only to be banned for the third time. Its very frustrating and annoying. I've mailed the mods on this issue and it never gets resolved.
