The Quality Assurance Engineer role supports the development team and ensures our customers receive high quality products. The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for designing automated and manual tests, executing tests on a routine or daily basis, and creating defect reports and verifying fixes. Other duties include ensuring user's guide is up to date, authoring Knowledge Base articles, and internal training of Technical Support on new features. The Quality Assurance Engineer may also assist the technical support team with resolving customer issues. The Quality Assurance Engineer reports directly to the Vice President of Appliance Technology.

Responsibilities:

Execute existing test scenarios to verify software functionality.

Create new test scenarios to validate that the appliance and software works as intended.

Automate test scenarios for more efficient testing.

Report bugs found in testing and by customers with quality bug reports to help developers resolve issues quickly.

Validate bug fixes and ensure they have completely addressed the issue.

Verify new features meet requirements.

Verify software release readiness and manage product releases, including updating change logs, release notes, and posting new versions for download.

Maintain and extend QA test environment, equipment and software.

Help maintain user's guide, and other user-facing documentation.

Train support staff, including creating training documents and Knowledge Base articles.
