While explaining why he got mad at the beggar, Jeremiah said: “I thought I've seen it all in Lagos. This man came to beg me for money to eat, when I alighted from a tricycle, then I gave him N500, only for me to walk a few meters away and glance back to see him counting lots of money. . If he wanted change from his donation all he had to do was ask. The beggar 'worked' for that money the same way a white or blue collar worker would. This is why white people put signs everywhere warning average citizens not to encourage beggars. |
