please guys stop confusing Benin City with Benin Kingdom. Benin City is the capital of Benin Kingdom and Edo-state is included in Benin Kingdom, not the reverse. Infact we have: Benin Kingdom > Bendel > Edo state > Benin City. The king is of course the King of the entire Benin Kingdom, not just the capital of the Kingdom. So please take notes.
