Atiku Abubakar, former Vice- President and presidential flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Monday said Nigerians have given up on President Muhammadu Buhari which explains why nobody is talking about his Next Level document which was launched last month.

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Segun Sowunmi, spokesperson of the Atiku Campaign Organisation said Nigerians have learnt from their mistakes having embraced Buhari’s Change agenda in 2015 but only received negative changes from the current administration.


“Why Nigerians are not excited about President Muhammadu Buhari’s Next Level slogan is because fool me once, you are the fool because I could not have known that you are going to fool me; but if I allow you to fool me the second time, then I am the fool because I should have learnt from my first mistake”.

“Nigerians are not excited about the Next Level document because the document itself is not as exciting as the Change document and Nigerians believed him. Now that they have seen that the change has not helped them in anyway or any manner, but it has made their lives worse, the suicide rate in the country has increased, the poverty level has gotten so high, the price of food and general items skyrocketed under their watch yet they can’t increase salary for workers”.
