The Anambra South senatorial candidate of the United Patriots, Chukwudi Ezeobika , has promised that his primary responsibility at the Senate , if elected , will be to immediately preoccupy himself with the task of meeting his people ’ s needs .

Ezeobika made the promise in a copy of his manifesto made available to our correspondent in Abuja on Monday.

He said his desire was to liberate his people from those he described as “ recycled politicians. ”
He said politicians in that category had left the district with poor health care , epileptic power supply , lack of free and compulsory education , bad road networks, inadequate security and high rate of unemployment and poverty .

He said , “ These recycled and incompetent politicians seek power for the wrong reasons and they have indeed seen power not as a responsibility, but as an authority to protect their vested interests at all costs
