A woman in Kaduna have been arrested by officials of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, for allegedly setting her eight-year-old daughter ablaze with petrol.

According to reports, the mother had asked her daughter to look after her two younger siblings as she had to go out to attend to her business. However when she returned, she found out her 8-year-old daughter left for their neighbour’s house to watch a TV series, leaving her younger siblings unattended to.

This got her so angry that she went into her house, got petrol, poured on her daughter and set her on fire, leaving her with serious burns. She locked the little girl in her house for six days until neighbors raised alarm and invited the NSCDC officials.

The mother was arrested immediately while the girl was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

A woman who can do this can commit coldblooded murder. Quote me anywhere.

How can you call yourself a mother and then have the heart to set your daughter on fire? A child you carried in your belly for nine months?

There are women who are desperately looking for children yet you're setting yours ablaze.

We know the economy is bad, or things are hard, or you hate her father for cheating on you, or somebody annoyed you in the shop.

But to vent whatever frustration you're going through on your daughter like this; she must be a coldhearted demon disguised as a human being sad

Especially if the ward seems more intelligent or well behaved compared to their own children.
It's just terrible seeing a child treated this way.

And for those bitter and cruel women, "suites" ought to be reserved for them in "kuje prison ".
