There are so many reasons why people are buried the way that it looks like carnival

For example, When you see a core igbo man buried outside his village, then there are issues to be settled within the families in the village

Secondly when someone dies, the family gather to plan for the burial, that is when they will know that the licking roof needs to be replaced, the cracked walls need to be fixed, the floor needs to be tilled, the curtains needs to be replaced then finally the walls need to be painted

All these comes up because they have been to their friends family and see how burial celbation are done and inviting them to their own family means putting all those things in place if not those coming for the burial will go home with shame considering the kind of expensive life he is living in the city

Then in igbo culture or tradition, if you don't bury your late father at home, your mates will one day laugh at you that your kins men can't locate where your father was buried and that alone will definitely make you a lesser man.

It's during burial that your family worth are measured, if they perceived your family to be reach they want to see a colourful ceremony on that day

If your family is poor they already know that they will be the one to contribute for the coffin and drinks, but bear in mind for that single help from the kins men,
you must not talk any how to your fellow because if you misbehave,
They will remind you how they contributed to Bury your father.

Lastly, there is a procedure that, if you don't Bury a loved one properly and another person dies, you can't Bury the current one until the family conclude the old burial.

Though everyone tries to contribute while the person is sick it depends on God to preserve the person and keep him alive or call the person to his glory
