I agree. I even like the US electoral system.
In Nigeria, some unenlightened ones vote based on tribe and religion. They dont even bother looking at the ability and qualification of tge candidate. They vote disregarding the conséquences even if it will lead to death and destruction.

That is why I like the Chinese model. Where few thousands of highly educated and patriotic Chinese who belong to the communist party meet every 5 years to chose who become the president of 1.5billion Chinese people.

Democracy is overrated. It only promotes division, ethno religious conflict and bigotry.

You are right, the one man one vote principle is very flawed as an illiterate and uninformed population cannot be relied to make informed decisions concerning leadership appointments (or elections), but, that is the lesser of two evils. A huge illiterate and poor population is an asset to political, religious and social leaders. They can be easily manipulated to fight the cause of their leaders. A leader with an army of illiterate and poor people, would defeat a small number of literate and wealthy population.

Through out history, leaders have led illiterate and sometimes barbaric group of people to conquer more prosperous and richer nations, examples are Vikings, Genghis Khan, Muhammed, ISIS, Boko Haram, and many more. Even kanu relies on the uninformed to propagate his IPOB ideals.

Old people won't want any other system that won't favor them.

especially in the north and southwest where low IQ makes them look up to Godfathers for the direction to vote

The major problem with democracy is that when fools are more in number,a fool will emerge as the leader of the wise and the wise won't have any choice than to accept the leadership of the fool.
