The Top Six Boogeymen Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) failed to get a point from Liverpool, as they have done against other top six opponents they have faced this season.

Despite starting the game on a strong foot and mustering four attempts in just fourteen minutes into the game, Wolves couldn't handle the Fabinho and Mane cleverly defense breaking play in the next minute that set up Salah's opener.

After Mohamed Salah opener, Wolves decided to defend deep and waited for a counter, giving Liverpool the opportunity to press and canceling their opponents attack every time they begin.

Wolves showed they could compete but wasted chances they had earlier in the game and after the goal got just two good chances before the first half was over. Liverpool were just left to dominate the game, given more possessions in the process.

The couldn't make more goal before halftime because they host sat back and expected a mistake from them. Mohamed Salah's smart finish gave Liverpool a 1-0 lead - but Wolves have had their chances too..
