Governor Akeredolu Assures The Continuity Of Art Festival In Ondo

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN on Friday, 21st December, 2018, at the Grand Finale of Ondo State Art Festival -“Ondo Artfest 2018” gave assurance that the festival would be an annual event.

The Governor also encouraged partners of the event to be rest assured of the continued state’s support, saying that no individual or cooperate organisation would ever regret partnering with the State.

Governor Akeredolu commended Mr Oshodi Seyi Paul, co-organizer and executive director of Oshodi Art Gallery for his efforts and initiatives.

Speaking earlier, Mr Oshodi explained that the event was aimed at promoting the rich cultural heritage of the state to engender economic development.

The Ondo Art Festival 2018, was a 5 day programme of events which started on Monday with a parade on the streets of Akure the capital city. It featured festival of arts and culture, trado carnival arts and exhibition with parade of over 5000 art pieces.

The event ended with award of excellence to illustrious sons and daughters of the state who have contributed immensely to the development of arts and promotion of cultural heritage of the state.
