There are cracks in the rank of the Osun State chapter of the Coalition of United Political Parties as the Central Senatorial candidate for the African Democratic Congress, Mr Olubiyi Fadeyi, has denied withdrawing from the race for a coalition candidate .

Reacting to the reported withdrawal from the race by Fabiyi, Director , Media and Publicity for the ADC, Abayomi Adegoke , in an interview with our correspondent on Saturday , admitted that a meeting was held by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, the Social Democratic Party and the African Democratic Congress in the senatorial district under the banner of the CUPP .
He however added that no candidate had been adopted by the CUPP members as being speculated .

He said , “ The attention of our campaign organisation has been drawn to the speculations going round that our senatorial candidate , Mr Olubiyi Fadeyi, had dropped his ambition to support a candidate of one other political party under the platform of the CUPP .

“ We would not take any action that may be inimical to the positive steps of our leaders towards ensuring the workability of the ongoing coalition among the opposition political parties ahead of the 2019 general elections in Nigeria.
