The removal of black beach goers from a popular 'high end' public beach in Cape Town has sparked outrage. A private security company, employed by residents in Clifton (an exclusive suburb in CT), moved in to remove black people from Clifton's 4th beach on Sunday.

In reaction, black South Africans will lead a protest to occupy the beach to reclaim it from whites. The group will also hold a cleansing ceremony which will include the slaughter of a sheep to cleanse the beach of evil white racists spirits. The protest will be lead by a social justice group, Black People's National Crisis. "The offering of the sheep is calling on our ancestors to respond to our trauma at the hands of white people over the years," said activist Chumani Maxwele.

This has polarized the the country considering elections are next year. Unlike other cities in South Africa, Cape Town is governed fully by a party perceived to be a 'white party'. This incident has touted commonly held stereotypes that Cape Town is a racist city and that the DA is trying to bring back Apartheid.

The ruling party ANC has condemned the incident.

Discriminating someone on the basis's of their skin color is wrong. I'm disappointed that you all are pleased to this happen especially to our race. Non the less, Black South Africans don't run away from their problems like other blacks from other countries. They confront them head on until they are resolved.
