Rome can be famous for every other thing but not the pyramids. Even the pyramid of Cestius in Rome was borrowed from Egypt. So give the pyramids to Egypt. Of course, Rome is rightly famous for fake Christianity. But, how the body of this thread take relate with the head sef?? 3 Likes 1 Share |

She doesn't like horror movies the other one said my fascination with death and morbid curiosity was unhealthy and I should stop. The other one said anime was cartoon One called trap mumble rap One said I should leave the church of the flying spaghetti monster for christianity. But the worst was the one that said I was too psychotic for her |

Rome, was famed for it orgy and battle arena (coliseums) Splinz:D tin taya me sef! Add stolen legacy to fake Christianity. What was that one thing he/she said that made you realise that you are not compatible at all? That moment has never existed. But one of it would be if she merely just gibed along the line that my hard rock music are devilish, then that's one of it I guess. 1 Like |

MissRaine69:Did someone actually say that to you? that Rome is famous for its pyramid? Anyways, I've met a guy that asked me where Jupiter is located. He had a hard time understanding the concept of "out of space", so it was a disaster explaining it. He actually thought it was a place on earth. He's a good friend though. |

MissRaine69:Lol. I can relate. I finished read Michelle Obama's Becoming a few days ago and in one the chapters she described Barack as a fact guy; too cerebral for most people and how so few people could relate to his way of thinking. It was an epiphany for me; "you are not alone" I told myself. Even the great men suffer this, hell it could even be a prerequisite for greatness. Once you begin to absorb information many times faster than everyone around you, you start becoming very lonely. It is my reality. You begin to wonder why seemingly educated people cannot grasp basic things. You have to start operating at their level so you don't come off as an ITK. Someone once told me with pride that he did not know who Nigeria's vice-president was. This was during the last administration. This was someone I expected to be better than most. I was deflated. 2 Likes 1 Share |

MissRaine69:You don't have good understanding of the role of punctuation in English language. I have read many of your post and discovered it is a shortcoming you are yet to take note of. Your second paragraph should be correctly rendered this way: Minor digression. Firstly, it's Tom, Dick, and Harry. Secondly, the purpose of this forum is to do exactly as I see fit and you can't do jack about it. 1 Like |

MissRaine69:Here she goes again! This is a well-articulated sentence (although unconventionally long) but nonetheless marred by the refusal to use a comma and full stop. |

Ranchhoddas: Well educated and intuitive people suffer different kind of alienations, which emanate from their struggle to reconcile their world-views with the humdrum of everyday living. It's difficult to stand out if one is encumbered by the expectation to conform to the societal norms. In fact, it is necessary, sometimes, to challenge or abandon some prevailing and established, but highly erroneous narratives that have acquired the status of a holy writ. Almost all famed Inventors and pacesetters have been alienated and ridiculed in history. V. I. Lenin, the man celebrated for giving form to the abstract socialist theory of Karl Marx -- another highly regarded iconoclastic figure whose belief culminated in his rejection of the capitalist system and elected to die in poverty --- in a revolution that put an end to capitalism to rural and backward Russia in the 20th century to the chagrin of the West. But Lenin was a victim of alienation for being a step head of his peers. The intensity of this vice forced Lenin to withdrew from school and study at home, whose family had earned societal notoriety for espousing revolutionary ideas. Nevertheless, it didn't damp the genus in young Lenin. If anything, it prepared him for the gigantic task that would be placed on his shoulders. Generally speaking, people are comfortable with mediocres, who rarely impeach the rationale behind every conduct. But inevitably unnerve at people who display intelligence and knowledge. If you display knowledge in formal and informal setting, you are bound to be misunderstood, to be derided, and even shamed. So, my thesis is: alienation, although used as a tool to discourage and "tame" intelligent people, is very functional and productive. It is precisely what makes great people thick. Since they have succeeded in defining who they are, it is not surprising that majority of them are later accepted and appreciated. 2 Likes |
