This is really a difficult one after waiting for 3 years plus. The best you can do is look for possible private individuals looking to hire home support worker on indeed and other job sites. Not many people are qualified to employ a support worker since they must have seniors or persons with disabilities that need the service. Hopefully you find someone that need your service very soon.

Good day house,
I have been a silent reader and follower of this thread and hoping to share my own testimony too.
Please can anyone be of assistance in getting a new employer under the home support worker pilot? I have an ongoing application with ircc since 2020 and Dec last year we got a mail saying the current employer is not eligible simply because its an agency and not a private individual. We were given 3 months to come up with a new employer as procedural fairness. Our clock is ticking fast and it seems really difficult getting a new employer . The rep we used has equally not been able to change the employer. Please those of you already in there who can assist me with a new employer i will forever be grateful. Thank you

Good morning house. Can an international student do PSW in Calgary? What certifications will I need to start and how long does it take to get it.( I am not in the health sector)

Are there any certifications I can do from naija before I arrive to qualify me to do the job when I arrive?

My school starts in May. I should arrive in April by God’s grace.

Thank you

Now you are talking, you are a student, so don't expect professional jobs. Look around for jobs fellow students do and do it. Caregiving, uber, uber eats, here in Edmonton I work part time as a shelter worker, three of the ladies here are Nigerian students, making cool 2500/mnth working Night shift.

Re the passport refund:

When you got your refund back then, was there any amount deducted from it like charges?

For example, I paid $142 usd which was 193CAD ($130 usd was the fee, $12usd was service charge I think).

When I got my refund, I only got $167.57cad back instead of $193cad. It is $25.43cad short/less.

Did you experience anything like this?

olasubomy:

I just dug into my archive e-mail:

Send an e-mail to support@innovate1services.com on your interest to apply for 10 years. They will respond. Although, i followed up with refund@innovate1services.com on the refund. You would have to fill a form for the refund but they will guide you accordingly.

It shouldn’t. As I’m sure you’re going to submit all necessary documentation to show U’re married and ur change of name document in ur new application.

Also visit the Canada study visa thread instead of this. You’ll get faster responses there to help with ur study visa application.

Ontario is set to bar employers from requiring Canadian work experience. It could open the door for some immigrants – but employment discrimination isn't black and white.

If you plan to register your kids in a French Catholic School in Ontario, this year, open days are starting soon.

cheesy they can see it from your resume. How will a candidate be able to prove they were not shortlisted due to lack of Canadian experience.

All good.
At home, underground parking, AC controlled cars. Rarely need to be in contact with snow for more than a few minutes.

Sorry guys. In Northern Canada, this is considered "normal" for this time of the year.

At least we are not paying 2200CAD rent. We can use a good chunk of only one month's salary to sort out heat grin

What is your field? I might be able to help if it is engineering and you have a good profile.
Hello sir. I've been jobless here for 5 months as a student. I don't know if you can do anything to help. I have a bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics engineering and I was a software developer for 2 years in Nigeria.

Hello,

I do not understand. Are you a student? You should be studying then and not working.

The rent and cost of living is so high in toronto. I've been looking for a part time job since I came. A lot of the indian students are working. Is there anything you can do to help?
