A woman was raped outside a church on Christmas Eve morning, say police, who have arrested two men over the alleged attack.
Officers were called just after 8am to reports that a woman had been raped outside St Mary's Church on Churchgate in Stockport earlier Monday morning.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to hospital and is being supported by specially trained officers from Greater Manchester Police.
Police have arrested two men, aged 44 and 57, on suspicion of rape, and both remain in custody for questioning as of Monday afternoon.
