As the world is entering in the age of digitization rapidly, the need has emerged for the engineers who can understand the circuits and computerized devices in the electrical & electronic field. The electrical & electronics engineering involves power which exists in various forms like the turbine, fuel cell, solar, hydro, gas, wind or geothermal energy. EEE is not only used in electrical appliances, but also very helpful in electronics, communication, computer, and mechanical fields. The students who are willing to pursue EEE program can read the following points to know what EEE engineers basically do:
• Design new ways to use electrical power to develop a new product or improve the old products. EEE curriculum also involves designing products, or systems for commercial, electronic components, software, industrial, medical, military, or scientific applications.
• EEE engineers also perform the manufacturing, installation, and testing of electrical equipment to ensure that the products meet standard quality.
• They inspect complaints of the customers, evaluate the problems, and recommend the required solutions. The engineers also inspect instruments, electronic equipment, and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations.
• The EEE engineers work with project managers to ensure that projects are completed satisfactorily on time.
• Analyzing customer needs and determine the requirements, capacity, and cost for developing an electrical system plan are also the work portfolios of these engineers.
• They develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment.
• They evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repair.
Electrical & Electronics Engineering: Program Structure
Electrical & Electronics Engineering is one of the most popular and fast-growing fields of Engineering. Usually, Electrical & Electronics Engineering program is structured as the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programs which are offered by the engineering institutions around the world. Total duration of bachelor’s programs is 4 years. Basically, B.Tech program is the most popular program in India and the students who want to pursue a career in Electrical & Electronics Engineering choose to get admission into B.Tech in EEE program. In B.Tech in EEE program, the students are taught mathematics, physics, and computer science and project management. The students who want specialization in Electrical & Electronics Engineering after completing the B.Tech program, they prefer to pursue higher degrees (M.Tech) programs. The students are offered the following programs in the field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering:
• Diploma in EEE: The program leads to the polytechnic diploma of 3 years. The students who are passed out in 10th or 12th class are eligible to get admission into this program.
• B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) in EEE: This is a degree program of 4 years duration. The students who are passed in class 12 are eligible to apply.
• M.Tech (Master of Technology) in EEE: It’s a PG degree program of 2 years duration. The students who have done B.Tech can apply.
Electrical & Electronics Engineering Career Option
The students who pursue any of above mentioned Electrical & Electronics Engineering programs are offered plenty of jobs in the market. The Electrical & Electronics Engineers are offered jobs in Telecommunications, Engineering services, Federal government, excluding postal service, Navigational, measuring, electro-medical, and control instruments manufacturing, semiconductor, and other electronic component manufacturing units. Top companies hire Electronics Engineers to perform the excellent work in Electric power generation, transmission and distribution, Navigational, measuring, electro-medical, and control instruments manufacturing and various works.
Electrical & Electronics Engineering Program at MEC
Mahindra Ecole Centrale offers UG level Electrical & Electronics Engineering program (B.Tech in EEE) for the students who want to make a career into this field. The institute is rapidly getting recognition among the Engineering institutions in India. The EEE students from the batch of 2014-2018 are being placed by the top brands such as Tech Mahindra, Microsoft, Raheja Developers, Gap Inc, Voltas, Sterlite tech and many more.
