Thank you OP for such a wonderful platform. I just gained admission to study Medicine and Surgery in UNIJOS. I am currently a 200 level student of Biochemistry in one of the state universities.
I had been contemplating whether to switch over to MBBS or obtain the Biochemistry degree first. What is your take on this?

Secondly, please I'd like to know how expensive studying MBBS really is, in terms of the textbooks and all. Thanks mam
As you said, A 200l student of BCH, Meaning you haven't done much of BCH before the strike
In my own opinion, I would advise you to take up the admission for Medicine as it is a once in a lifetime opportunity, Life doesn't go the way we planned and what if you finish BCH and you find it difficult to gain admission for Medicine
If this was my case, I wouldn't even give it a second thought cause there are a lot of students out there wishing to have this opportunity
My opinion though

Textbooks
I would soon write about them
But note that it varies from School to school
But for mine.
Anatomy
Clinically Oriented Anatomy by Keith Moore
BD chaurasia Human Anatomy
Last Anatomy
And if I might include Grays Anatomy

Physiology is mainly Sembulligam Physiology but I'll talk about those later.

BCH.
Vasudevan BCH
pakanja Naik BCH
But I've never found the hard copy of the pakanja, we only have the soft copy over here but nevertheless, it's a very amazing book

I would write later about my review of these books

Medicine is not tough. Stop the hype.
Meanwhile Buhari is a failure.
Medicine becomes easy when you do the appropriate things.
But nevertheless, let's be factual, there would be occasional down times

Fact. Same with same other professional courses. At the same time medicine is thoroughly overhyped.

Not too difficult to study.
Pay as a practitioner is on the average.
Generally speaking though.
