With growing concern about the trade war that has since last year been the bane to many economies. There are fears it may become more severely, a world problem. US-China officials begins talks on Monday with the aim of resolving their damaging trade dispute that has in recent times grown apart. It maybe recalled that last year, both countries imposed tariifs on good's of one another worth billions of dollars. This would be the first formal meeting of these giant economies since the pair agreed a 90days refrain from any other tarrif on each other's goods. It is expected that the main points on the agenda would be on industrial property and intellectual property rights. With the outcome of the meeting uncertain, it is worth it that countries begin to find creative altrrnatives to curbing the aftermath of the turn of events, especially if they were to grow worse. However, now, more than ever, the African continent must once more look inward and reexamine her worth and potentials on the radder of global economies. It is safest to walk on the path of strength, especially in areas you're most advantaged. Policies that promote and best handle farming and mining of our naturally resources should be properly formulated and followed to the latter. Paying of lips service and empty campaign promises doesn't assure the future of our children. Let us in good conscience agree to the path we must follow.
