In 2011 Goodluck Jonathan won election, he did what no other government before him did. He started YouWin and for the first time in Nigeria’s history, people who did not know anybody in government were given N10 million naira grant to start a business and employ other Nigerians (never to be paid back).

While this was going on, GEJ also started SURE-P, where he was paying unemployed youths up to N30,000 to go to any organization who needed them to do anything.

For the first time in history, Agriculture was rebranded as a viable, respected and profitable business for young Nigerians, and various Agricultural schemes gave out loans and grants to Nigerians to key into the sector. The ingenious Akinwumi Adesina changed this industry

All of a sudden, from nowhere, Buhari started keying into the sentiments of Nigerians. Nigerians thought that enough wasn’t going round, they didn’t realize it was a gradual process that would improve over a few years and reach everyone. Fighting corruption was taking a digital gradual process, it doesn’t take a liar and failure like Buhari, it takes a system that evolves over time. Buhari made people to believe there was such a big national cake to be shared if he was elected. We all believed!

Fast forward to 2018, 3 solid years after Buhari was elected, Nigerians can’t even complain of corruption anymore because Hunger, starvation, inflation, death, diseases have ravaged the land. It’s like the country is back in the hands of Abacha again where only the Emirs and the ruling class had access to the wealth. We have gone back to the times when a few people squandered the wealth of the country IN SECRET while the rest of Nigerians suffered in penury. Yes, Buhari has brought OLIGARCHY back. Sad

2019 is the time we decide what direction our country goes! Whether we allow this evil to continue, or whether we rescue Nigeria from Buhari and his cronies!
