HOW THE COUNTRY CAN PAY MINIMUM WAGE COMFORTABLY..........

1. Abolish SECURITY VOTE in NIGERIA. Nigeria will pay N45,000 minimum wage comfortably.

2. a) Abolish CONSTITUENCY PROJECT FUNDS
b) Reduce number of ADVISERS to SENATE PRES(2), HOUSE SPEAKER(2), GOVs(4), PRESIDENT(5), VP(2)
c) Reduce current ALL Political Office Holders PAY CHEQUES by 51.5%, without exception
d) Do away with special remuneration to POLITICAL ADVISERS & PUBLIC SERVANTS e.g; Purchase of Private Vehicles, Houses, granting Govt paid Vacations, paying for 1st & Business Class Transportations, etc, etc...
e) Abolish payment of OVERSEAS MEDICAL BILLS for Political Office Holders.
f) Eliminate PRIVATE PRACTICE in public workforce
g) Eliminate participation of Public Workforce in Partisan Politics.
h) Institute EMPLOYMENT BY MERIT, and eliminate UNDEREMPLOYMENT.
i) Review and eliminate allocation of Govt paid POLITICAL AIDES & SUPPORT STAFF to Political Office Holders.

With (1) + (2) Nigeria would pay a minimum wage of N65,000 comfortably

3. Move Nigeria MORE to Private Sector Driven Economy
a) Privatise ALL of Federal Govt PARASTATALS & reduce Federal Direct Funded AGENCIES to 68% of the present.
b) Privatise ALL of STATE Govt PARASTATALS & reduce State Direct Funded AGENCIES to 19% of the present.
c) Reduce current DIRECT LABOUR JOB participation by 49%
d) Encourage more Working Hours until Nigeria economic stabilizes
e) Discourage UNIONISM in Public Workforce

With (1) + (2) + (3), Nigeria would pay a minimum wage of N101,500 comfortably.

4) Institute DEATH PENALTY to proven THEFT OF PUBLIC FUNDS no matter how little, and LIFE Jail Sentences for COLLABORATORS.

With (1) + (2) + (3) & (4), Nigeria would pay a minimum wage of N203,500 comfortably.

That means a lot.
A better Nigeria is all we want.
God bless you sir/ma!
This your analysis shows that you only choose to be a zombie because this is the best you have written since you were zombified. It's shows we all truly know the solution to Nigeria's problem but we choose to look the other way because of party affiliation

I pity those people demanding for salary increase instead of an improved economy. Increased salary will definitely results in a rise in inflation. The result will be worse than the current salary. If the economy is sound and inflation curtailed, they could well manage with the current salary.
Story Story.... With the billions of naira they waste no inflation abi.. na 30k minimum wage go cause inflation mtcheeew

As far as no inflation when politicians are collecting millions there won't be inflation because of 30k, meanwhile there is already an inflation and salary increment is long overdue.

Yes he does, BUT, he doesn't read the unreasonable wails of haters!
We are not talking about critics who are genuinely concerned about a better Nigeria,. You will know them because when they see good efforts of government they applaud.
But the children of hate only see negative things that their eyes have been programmed to see!
Ok bye!

30k is proposed the minimum wage. That is around 60% increase on what the government currently pays as wage. The present situation has the recurrent expenditure which outweighs the capital expenditure. In a strong economy, such an increase will not pose any significant negative effect on the economy.
But in the Nigerian situation, once the salary is increased, the immediate action is to devalue the currency to pay out valueless currency. Of what significance is the increase if naira suddenly begins to exchange at 500 to a dollar? On the other hand, if the naira currently exchanges at say 150 to a dollar, 18k minimum wage would even be more valuable than 30k at this current rate of 370 to a dollar.
The nigerian workers certainly deserve the best wages. But it must go hand in hand with a currency that has real value.

I don't really support this school of thought. Nigeria national minimum wage is one of the lowest in the world other countries pay their workers double to triple of what Nigeria civil servant collect, have their inflation rate rising to the point you are trying to point out?
this is my point-

I get your point partially. But currently naira is not far from the 500 exchange rate which according to you could be the worst nightmare for the country if the minimum wage is increased. Now I ask you should the workers continue to be paid 18k with dollar at 370 or the should be paid 30k with the dollar at 500 (that's if your assertion is true) which will benefit the Nigeria Workers?

I'd substitute 4 for life imprisonment for both offences. Every other thing said makes complete sense and I totally endorse it!

Nothing good comes easy. Who will feed them in that life sentence?
