The night is far spent, the woods are burning out. Hence, mere discussions are giving way to revelations; as dawn approaches men and women of timbre and calibre has began to voice out and say a word or two about the causes militating our growth as a nation in their cabal. As a watch man and observer of the Nigerian politics I can affirm to this: the days are coming, they're already upon us when politics would be devoid of religion, ethnicity, tribe, geographical region or race.
I see the epoch of a new age; the dawn of a new day. I see light at the end of the tunnel. I see hope rejuvenated. I see consolation for the forlorn. I see hope for the common man. I see a better life for our impoverished citizens. I see joy for mourners. I see an undying love for our nation. I see all, from North to South; East to West paying complete allegiance to the green and white flag.I see an unchallenged economy in African. I see Nigeria raised to the class of world powers.
Wake up from your slumber and get to work, the future promises these and even more, but, it has named its price. For citizens, we must shone away from discrimination and bias; we must do away with blind allegiance to corrupt and incompetent politicians with no or little good services to offer our dear nation. We must once again embrace the call to live as brothers irrespective of our tribe or creed, and be responsible for our collective growth as a nation.
For relious leaders, do well and teach the people to live in the true spirit and practice of your religion, rather than only preaching and seeking ways to convert others, live to better the lives of those in and around your community, even those that are not of your affiliation. Let's see the morals, love, peace and good conduct your religion preaches encouraged and promoted by the lives those within your jurisdiction are living. Teach your people to tolerate and respect the dignity of people of other creeds.
For the government and her officials, shone corrupt practices and see your position as an opportunity and mandate given you to pilot the affairs of the country not for some selected people but, for the benefit of the whole country; imbibe the spirit of servanthood and learn to see the dreams and aspirations of citizens as far greater than your political ambitions, be good example of leaders future generations would look up to in times of challenges when and if there'd ever be any for them.
Collectively, we must be Nigerians first before any other thing. We must constantly seek for the things that unites us rather than those that divides us. I believed that even in this political darkeness a brighter day would come.
God bless Nigeria
