I hope you are aware that grade level 8 in the core civil service who are on CONPSS earn 50k monthly? So you see, NTA is even better o. Hopefully, the Buhari administration will look beyond the political backlash and do something about the inequality now.

To be very precise, level 8 in NTA receives 64k per month presently.

Pharmacist is understandable cos that is health sector and they are prone to harzard.

we just need a single salary scale in civil services with just three or four allowances
1. Professional allowance-for those in similiar or same profession.
2. Responsibility allowance-to cover responsiblity of a worker. those in the same or similar do have different responsiblities
3.Hazard allowance- for all workers but fire fighters, healthcare workers,security personnels etc deserve special allowance

There are lot of things they will readjust if they could reduce someone that collecting 250. If you are in Lagos or abuja and you earning 250 per month you will still be struggle for how to survive .

There is what they call basic salary.It should be equal.There is also what we call allowances.Housing is included.Food is cheaper in Lagos, should we then increase allowances of those in the east? Each region has their comparative advantages over other regions.Unjustified sentiment should not be used in payment of equal services.

The disparity is too much and must be addressed. We all work for the same federal government in different capacities. Chartered Accountants on grade level 10 in federal ministry of finance, Office of the Accountant General, and Auditor General earn as low as 65k while their counterparts on same level in FIRS earn as much as 250-300k. Is serving Nigeria through FIRS more important than serving Nigeria through the ministry of finance?

Nobody is saying there should not be differences based on peculiarity of certain agencies but it should not be what is currently obtainable.

What is the meaning of a revenue generating agency? That is nonsense as far as am concerned.

So people working in the education ministry must earn less than someone who works in a revenue generating agency as if education is not supposed to be one of the high earning agency.

Those working in the so called rga are just lucky yo be there and has nothing to do with their abilities.

Anyone in the health, education, security and judiciary are the people that should have a slightly higher salary scale. Then maybe engineers etc who do dangerous constructive work. Every other person should be made to earn on the same scale with a reasonable minimum scale.

Rga is a scam.

There is nothing like revenue generating Agency....... they are tax Collector. If you give the same mandate to other Agencies they will equally do the same

There are tons of revenue generating agencies that earn double of what firs earn despite them not contributing as much as Firs to the pot.Check out Nimasa,Npa,Ndic,cbn etc.There is no way this disparity can be addressed without it starting from the political office holders.A lot of restructuring has to be done even Ceos' of these agencies don't rely on their salaries with perks that include security votes which by the way is the greatest scam in this country.

When the president announced earlier this week that he will review the matter, most media platforms ran with a sensational headline that Buhari wants to reduce the salary of every worker to 30k. Ignorant folks who don’t know what is happening started raining abuses on the president. So you see, if it won’t be politicized, it can be done successfully.

If that is the case, the government should setup her own public awareness program to give proper education regarding any of her policies, and if their is any then are not functioning as they should
