TENURE Full Time

JOB FUNCTIONS
• Strategic planning to optimise the use all appliances of the company’s assets and the supporting infrastructure to reduce the cost and enhance the efficiency of these assets.
• Oversee the execution of maintenance schedule for all Property Management, Power & Maintenance, Asset Management and Security & Investigations in line with the SLA’s.
• Vendor and SLA management of each part of the facilities business (Power, Cooling, Infrastructure, Security, Maintenance schedule, Diesel and Radio site).
• Program management of all Capital Infrastructure Projects.
• Oversees the development, implementation and management of annual Business/Operations Plan for each Facility Unit.
• Oversee all maintenance and repair of company-owned buildings, offices, cell sites and other facility assets.
• Plan, organize, direct, and inspect the work of Facility Management Functional heads.
• Use Performance & Project management techniques to supervise and coordinate the activities of Contractors/Employees in achieving agreed SLA.
• Define specifications for special contract items.
• Ensure prompt response to emergency and urgent issues.
• Manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities.
• Ensure regular comparative analysis of costs for required goods and services to achieve maximum value for money.
• Plan for future development in line with Organisation strategic objectives.
• Demonstrate ownership of and communicate the strategic direction of the team/ function to all team members.
• Advice Management on key issues as they affect the functional areas

EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years cognate working experience with at least Five (5) years in telecommunication environment and Five (5) years in a managerial role.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
• First degree or HND in Facility Management, Engineering, Property and Land based relevant discipline.
• Postgraduate/ professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.

COMPETENCES
• Contract law and legislation.
• Radio site management
• Data Centre Management
• Technical components of facility management including energy, cooling and developing and implementing SLA’s
• Appreciation/knowledge of international and local telecoms industry, key issues, trends, development, operation and regulatory framework.
• Ability to think strategically and holistically and to appreciate the systematic impact of various policies, issues and solutions.
• Good appreciation and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to work with diagrams, charts and tables.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship building, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Good strategic planning and decision making skills.
• Good project/ change management skills.
• Business and financial acumen.
• Strong of financial/budgetary management and cost control skills.
• Good report writing skills.
• Good presentation and facilitation skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure.
• Result oriented and quality focused disposition.
• Very strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
