Now let's all calm down.
I am a graduate of Civil Engineering from one of the best schools in Nigeria by God's grace.
I am a very playful scholar, an award winning one for that surely matters, a poet, a writer and all the bla bla blaaaaa....

I wrote my WAEC and JAMB many years back, then the JAMB was PPT(paper and pencil test) and I nailed both with little or no help...
Let's get underway, the first step to winning a battle is understanding your opponent and preparing for every counter measure for every new trick they decide to pull out of their magic hat.

So first question is; How much understanding have you acquired about WAEC, the syllabus, the marking scheme and the little tiny bit of details that matters.
Depending on your school teachers to teach you what you feel will be included or based on the exam questions is the first step to failure.
Your school can never, your teachers can never finish the syllabus, or teach you all you need to know.
Majority of the work starts and ends with you, and if you're someone who believes in miracle centre. God help you, because even with miracle centres people fail....

FIRST STEP
How much understanding have you acquired on WAEC.

The questions are not always straightforward, nor will the marking be.
If you're depending on your school note to prepare you for the exam, that's a big joke. I am not one of the opinion of believing in tutoring centres I never attended any, though they can come as an added advantage. But so many tutors I know are just there to show off, catch the elderly young Jambites and of course sell their books. And I know this, because I know so many personally....

So first understand that WAEC is an external exam that will be marked by someone you will never know or explain why your English was incorrect or why your handwriting was looking like fowl scratch or why you did not write your examination number....

So whatever you are gonna do, do it in a manner where when you leave the exam hall, you have no doubts of what you've written or if you'll pass.

In a nutshell understand the WAEC syllabus, the marking scheme and act on it.
The next tip will follow shortly, thank you.
I await questions and other ish.... smiley

THE SECOND STEP
Studying Adequately is a must...

There's a salient difference between reading and studying. Even the Bible says study to show yourself an approved workman....
It's not just about reading and answering the past questions but how much have you been able to derive from the books and past questions. How much have you gained and how much do you know.

Now if you must be at the top of your game, practicing past questions must be at the top of the list, let me tell you the methods I applied and from this you can develop your own method. My brain and your brain is not the same, so don't expect what works for you to work for me and likewise the other way round.

Now, I was juggling in between past questions while preparing for exams, attempting theory questions and trying to answer as much as possible and if I fall behind while trying to get the questions right. I revise with my textbooks and re-attempt the questions again. If you must become better, you must be able to study past questions for long, re-attempt the failed theory questions without spying from your notes or your textbooks.

The act of studying doesn't always seem easy but the rewards are bountiful, if you can put your heart to it for the next few months, you will be smiling when you see your results....
So study and study real hard...

THE THIRD STEP
Distraction is the biggest sin...
This is the biggest sin, you can commit while preparing for an exam. T.V, social media, I mean all things that can cause you to lose focus is a distraction. And you should do away with all especially when you're studying.

I do not mean, no FB, Twitter, or IG but I mean doing the right thing at the right time.
Savvy.....

Now you may think distractions do not come when you're so serious with the books, trust me they will come.
We are human beings prone to mood swings, losing interest, and of course lack of zeal to continue...

What helped me scale through...
-----_----------_----------------

I remembered why I was reading, why I was doing all the necessary essentials concerning the subjects, I reminded myself of finishing the university early, I dreamed of entering school at a very young age, I made it a priority to be among the best or if possible be the best for me, myself and I.

That became my adrenaline, so what is your adrenaline....

Remember time lost can never be regained, if your mates leave you behind, it's gonna be difficult to catch up and it is difficult to even play catch up....

More tips will follow....

THE FINAL STEP

Believe in what you're doing, if you are a Muslim; pray to Allah. If you're a Christian, pray to God.

Make sure, you do all that is needed to be in the best condition for the exams.
In all honesty, make the right choice, where to enroll your exams, the tertiary institutions you are to select as your choice.
Because they all have consequences, some are tribalistic, others you'll have to bribe your way into the school.

So look before you leap...
First Understand the battle in front; WAEC and Jamb. Then take the needed route to be the winner by;
Secondly; Preparing adequately and properly, there are no shortcuts to success, take the long hard road to freedom...
Thirdly, avoid all forms of distraction, feed your focus, starve the distractions...
Lastly, Believe in your dreams, follow all means to get there. Spiritually and physically, mentally, financially, and of course choose the right schools and the best institutions that suit you...
Because it all matters...
Success....
