good day, please does anyone have an idea on how i can join a ship crew?
it does not have to be as a professional engagement. a ship assistant,laborer,
or any even the least job function on a ship as long as i have the opportunity of traveling across countries
and see the beauty of nature in sea life
i love the ocean a lot and i want to pursue a career/life that revolves around the ocean.

It is very hard to do that in Nigeria, unlike in developed places, u can try the ports sha, like onne, apapa, e. tc, u may see a connection there

The least cadre on board is AB, you must undergo training for Safety, like fire fighting, PPE, Survival at Sea...there are maritime academies in Nigeria that issue these certificate, just Google it, after the training yet are now fit to work afloat. No crew in the world will feel safe with you without these certificates.

Oh i see, thanks for the enlightenment. i thought for the lesser jobs anyone with ability to work can be hired.
but then pls, even if i explore these certs, do you have an idea of the job opportunities? well, i know everything is scarce
