The long awaited struggle for establishment of a sovereign state of Biafra out of the Nigeria may be actualised this year, going by the turn of political events across the country.

The founder and leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), otherwise called the Biafra Independent Movement (BIM), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, made the prediction while reflecting on the state of the nation.

The pro-Biafran leader predicted: “Major events shall happen this year that will lead to the rise of a full-fledge Biafran nation. We will achieve full-fledge Biafra this year because there will be gradual fall/split of the most populous black African country”.

Uwazurike reiterated that Biafra had been achieved already but a full-fledged Biafra state may be achieved this year, recalling how, about 20 years ago, it was a taboo for anybody to mention the name Biafra.

He recalled that before he started the Biafra struggle for independence in 1999, one could only mention Biafra inside one’s kitchen or parlour but, today, “it is no longer an abominable issue because the name Biafra is being discussed all over the world among the different groups, nations and associations at home and in Diaspora.”

“That we are meeting here today at Ojukwu Memorial Library, Owerri, Imo state, is because of Biafra“, he stated.

The MASSOB-BIM leader gave this hint through his media assistant, Mazi Chris Anierobi Mocha in Onitsha.

Uwazuruike further expressed joy that those persons who could only mention Biafra in their kitchen and parlours were now boldly talking Biafra in government offices, schools, churches, police stations and motor parks.

This man again? I thought he is the one castigating KANU 'mad' for mentioning and leading this Biafra struggle?

Perhaps, he wants to be on the spotlight like KANU or that the tips he used to get has dried this election period. But his head needs examination. I smell something's wrong...

Is it possible for the southern slaves to free from their Northern masters?? Assuming.. they did,it would be at a terrible cost .
