Even if he survived the impact, CO2 buildup at the bottom of the well would have asphyxiated him. I kept searching all the news to see where fresh air or oxygen was being pumped down the well but did not find any reference.

This is really sad. May the Lord comfort his parents. I can only imagine what they are going thru. This news actually stirred an headache for me. I knew his chances of survival was slim but was been optimistic.
