Yesterday, I got a called from one of the media aides of Bayo Adelabu, the APC gubernatorial candidate for Oyo State. The lady asked for few minutes of my time to really discuss about the expectations of his candidacy.

Well, I was eager to listen to her to really understand what the candidate has to offer the people of the state so as to decide where my vote goes to but it was a total disappointment. The so called 'discussion' was a recorded 'jingle' and sounded like a street promo. After the whole drama, I asked how she got my number, she said it was through a data mining company. Well, It's ok.

Then I asked a simple question; "if Bayo Adelabu eventually becomes the governor of Oyo State, what will be his top priority in terms of policy" they lady just blanked out....started acting up with no coherency. She started saying "I'm not hearing you very well, the network is bad blah blah blah.....I don't understand your question"

At that point, I understood she was just a paid rookie promoter with no knowledge about his client. How do you intend to sell a candidate if you have a zero knowledge about him. It's crystal clear that Bayo Adelabu himself doesn't really has anything to offer, thus, he couldn't properly communicate his ideas to his media crew. If not, it would have been a garbage in, garbage out. When a leader fails to properly communicate his ideas, it only mean one thing; he has nothing to offer.

At this juncture, I want to call on the good people of Oyo State to open their eyes very well and choose a leader that will adequately portrays the vision of the state.

I agree with you absolutely but we are in a society where Godfathers dictate who sits on the throne not by intelligence and credibility anymore. It's really worrisome.

I had a similar experience...but this time, the person was working with the team of Seyi Makinde.

And the starting point got me pissed! After introducing himself as a member of Seyi Makinde campaign team, the next thing he said was "who are you voting for"! I bluntly told him "its none of your business"! I could feel he was stunned and taken off balance on the phone and he started apologizing for the question after i told him he had no right to ask such questions, he should have market his candidate to me, highlighting his strength and plans for oyo state.

He said he would like me to work for them owing to the way i was speaking. I simply told him to draw up their programme and proposal they have for me to see and in order to contribute. Brethren, i never heard from him again! Lol!

These guys have no cogent plan, they are just banking on the gullibility of the majority of the populace.
