All what you described are the effects of nuclear weaponry. Those cities were nuked.
One faction of gods were fighting against another. Some of those places are still radioactive. I specifically mentioned the height which the meteorite exploded and remember I mentioned what if it had happened closer to the ground. the damage to buildings is as a result of shockwaves produced by the blast. also similar occurred close to Siberia in 1908 though it was not captured like the one of 2013, it happened closer to the ground though not too to close in remote forest area. the result was the trees closer to the center were scorched, they were left standing with their branches and tree top blown off, while trees further away was toasted fell to the ground the area is about 2000km. people faraway felt the heat and were throw off their feet. the Chinese have a recorded history of similar story that result to over 10000 death though the figure is been disputed by scholars.

sorry to bust your bubble. fact check there several site that has been dug has the ancient city of Sodom and Gomorrah but non can be said to be the actually candidate so you posting some random picture as Sodom is wrong. this similar to that picture making the round as the skull of Goliath.

secondly balls of fire raining down will mash any building on impact, any house without direct hit will stand but won't have high concentration of sulfur like you propose.

thirdly those site would be thousand of years old, with thousands of years of weathering activities so how do expect to see pure sulfur as it is thousands of years ago.
