Lawyers in Akwa Ibom State are not smiling at all. Their refusal to smile is connected with the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen.

Earlier yesterday, the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) directed its members nationwide to boycotts the courts for two days to protest what it called the illegal suspension of Walter Onnoghen by the Muhammadu Buhari administration..

The association took the decision at its emergency national executive committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja today.

The NBA Chairperson also constituted a monitoring team led by herself to go found courts and ensure that no lawyer appears in the Court.

A member of the monitoring team of NBA Toyo Jimmy, Esq said the sit at home order directed by NBA is to protest the siege that President Muhammadu Buhari has inflicted on the Judiciary.

Toyo Jimmy said, in the Legal Profession, an injury to one is injury to all.

Ehmmm i don't really know much about this crumblling situation....But if given the oppurtunity i'm ready to smash this ono's guy and have my share of the national cake since that's what we all are after

Watch how they show you pictures of PDP states that their state governors are sympathetic to Onnoghen especially Cross-River, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Bayelsa and South East states that there's total compliance without showing us pictures of Abuja, Edo, Lagos, Osun, Ekiti, Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Kebbi, Kogi, Kastina, Zamfara etc. Even in Rivers state some court judges and magistrates sat with laywers in action.

Even in NJC meeting today it's not looking good from what i am hearing for Onnoghen, NJC trying to save face by asking Onnoghen to resign so that they'll say NJC recommends resignation of Onnoghen since the president only suspended him because they know with time president Buhari will up his game and sack Onnoghen when he wins re-election so as NJC lets act quickly before PMB rubbishes us and render us useless.
