A man was publicly beaten and was almost lynched after he allegedly stabbed a girl to death in Owerri, Imo state, but policemen intervened to stop the mob attack, Igbere Tv reports.

The man, who some say is mentally unstable and other say is a 'Yahoo boy' aiming at carrying out money rituals, was detained by members of the community after he allegedly stabbed the youngster to death with a knife at Douglas market in Owerri.

The man was brutally beaten by an angry mob and was almost lynched before security operatives arrived and brought the situation under control.

In a video shared online, some members of the community can be seen carrying tire to set the man on fire, but they couldn't get close to the man as the police officers intervened, Igbere Tv reports.

Why are they saving him from death? A person that takes someone else's life has no right to keep his own

Jesus is the only one who can add meaning to your life..

Regardless of whatever you have in life, people will only pray for you to rest in peace after death.

But the question is, are all the dead resting in peace after death?

Jesus told us of Lazarus who was in paradise after death... He rests in peace.

If you know, believe and accept Jesus, you have the assurance of resting in peace...

If you don't, you go to a place of torment after you are transformed into eternity after death.

You simply go to hell because you are a sinner...and God cannot stand your presence....
