Forklift Driver Training

It is important for a forklift driver to be fully licensed and qualified to operate a forklift. A forklift licence is not just a piece of plastic; it’s the correct skills and knowledge taught by certified teachers that will ensure the safety and proper manoeuvrability of a forklift within your business.

Completing a driver training course increases three main aspects within your workplace:

Productivity – Familiarisation with the equipment’s capabilities & features enables the operator to complete tasks in the most productive manner.
Efficiency - Training enables the operator to handle & manoeuvre the equipment in the most time conscious & energy conscious manner.
Safety – the operator will be trained to ensure the equipment is being used in the safest fashion and be aware of hazards that may arise so they can take cautionary action to prevent injury.

Another major factor is that forklift driver training enables your forklift drivers to maintain your equipment in the correct manner, ensuring that all the little things are taken care of (e.g. re-filling battery fluid, safety checks, equipment checks and no mistreatment of equipment) which will in turn reduce costs towards servicing and repairing your equipment.

Trainees will be taught lessons from a beginner level to proficiency.Through classroom theory & Hand-on Practical lessons on the field with Forklift.

Learning to operate a forklift is like any other complex task. If you break the task into small, manageable pieces and do not try to learn too many things at once, it is much easier.

You will:

develop the knowledge and skill needed to operate forklifts•
be shown how to drive and control forklifts safely•
practise and correct your driving techniques in an increasingly complex set of conditions, so that you are capable of successfully • undertaking your licence test.

The length of each stage of learning depends on the amount of practice you have had. Be sure you are confident and competent before moving on to the next stage. Your Instructor will advise you when you are ready to move on.
How fast and how much you learn will depend on you. You should learn by:
reading this handbook carefully•

attempting all the questions and activities in the handbook•

observing the operations being performed by your Instructor and on your work site•
asking questions•

practising the new skills included in this handbook•

undertaking the assessment tasks on completion of the training.•

We do our best to equip trainees with skills that would stand them out and according to world class/standard .
We also give letters of recommendation to students to proceed for internship with companies.

Then, when companies come requesting for Operators will give them a list of the best performing trainees
Whether they take you depends on your performance during the selection process as EQUILOG cannot decide for the recruiting firm on whom to select as such.

EQUILOG only recruits directly from its database of trainees when the need arises.
