It's like you are her PA.

If u really watched buhari and atikus interview and didn't see any biasness in that interview then you are a biased Apc fan.

Her aggressive body language and her mumu questions like atiku and his state govt bin the highest employers of labour exposed her.

She did well.
Did you see in the interview of Buhari and Osinbajo, where they made unnecessary claims and statements?

Atiku/Obi wanted to subject her to ridicule and nobody would condone that especially when such ridicules are irrational.

There is a conflict of interest in investing state funds in a company controlled by a governor and his close associates you móron!

My intepretation of his explanation

The Brewery offered Peter Obi a 15 percent personal stake in the company but he declined in order to avoid conflict of interest and suggested an alternative course of action.

He invested in his capacity as governor and custodian of the states finances on behalf of Anambra state, in Anambra states name, to 30 million dollars in International Breweries. Which was a ten percent of the company shares.

On his suggestion, the International Breweries then sold 5 percent shares which is15 million dollars to his parents company which he allowed since he had no personal involvement in equity or oversight in the company. Therefore his parents company coughed out 15 million dollars out of pocket to invest in the venture.
And if you do a little research on tbe company, they are a FMCG company with subsidiaries in UK and various cities in Nigeria. They are not a paper company. So i believe they could come up with 15 million dollars.

So at the end of the day, he did not invest Anambra state funds in his parents business...
...Except it can be proved with evidence that Anambra state borrowed or gave his parents the 15 million dollars to buy a 5 per cent stake in International Breweries...then that will be wrong.

Twas a risk and they could have lost their money.

If other state governments can take a cue from this and invest state funds in private business, i am sure they will be less inclined to tax those companies to death

Shola! Shola!! Shola!!! E melo ni mope e? Give yourself brain!

Let's say he is truly interested in the people of Anambra like he said and he gives $30million which is equal to $1000 each for 30,000 traders. How far do you think that would have gone by now?

Peter Obi invested Anambra state money in Peter Obi and Company for the future of Anambra State he says yet wailers says it's okay no conflict of interest in that clear stealing by trick.

It's the same story like Atiku said "I will enrich my friends if I become president" and "I will sell all government properties...to my friends...at discount price"

Atiku Abubakar is a Boldface-Thief while Peter Obi is a Cunny-Thief...No Vote For Thieves o!

But against the law.

It means you are using state money to enrich yourself.

It's funny how you might think it's ok but when an unsubstantiated story of a relative of Buhari bought a distressed bank, many of your brought your daggers out.

Where did they get the money to buy distress banks? And why were they not bold like obi ti defend their actions. Cowards and thieves in the corridor of power is all I see

I have Big 4 audit experience...whenever you see convoluted shareholding structure such as this just be sure there is some fraud involved somewhere

Its clear enough. If this is what happened ,the best you can find him guilty of is insider trading. Which is inconsequential by Nigerian standards compared to embezzlement that is the norm among government officials.

Like i said, unless it xan be proved that Next International got their 15 million to invest in international Breweries from a dash or borrow by the Anambra state government...we will let it slide.

Guys,
Please don't be silly. It is a Conflict of Interest to invest State funds in a business owned by your family. Whether or not it makes money for the state, it does not absolve you of your responsibility to set the moral standard for the state.

What's the difference between what Obi did and what Babachir did?

Obi put government money in his family business

Babachir put government money in his personal business
Obi's family is not the owner of the company while Babachir is the owner of his company. I hope the difference is clearer now. Stop comparing apples to mangoes because of sentiment.

Okay o ...but my question is; if Cunny-Thief Peter Obi gave $1000 to 30,000 traders in Anambra don't you think they would have almost turn theirs businesses to multinational Companies themselves by now almost 10 years after? Instead of giving an additional $30million to a multinational company that's supposedly ready to invest in Anambra State instead of giving them tax wavers at most.

There were two separate investments mentioned one to the so called multinational brewery company and his parents business which in his own words he managed before he became governor and that since he wasn't actively involved in the business again, just as Babachir the former SFG said and you condemned him and Bugari sacked him, he invested in both companies with the state government money.

I was totally impressed by Atiku/Obi.

Even the host was too as she marveled at such intelligence. She came with the usual allegations and was sounding pro Apc but I bet at the end the Apc will be totally ashamed.

Being my first time of watching Atiku speak, compared to Buhari's outing on same platform, I must say I am impressed at his calmness and composure while carefully dishing out well articulated answers to the questions. As for Peter Obi, nothing less can be said of him.

On this note, I want to join my brother FireFire in porting to the Atikulated Camp. Although I was never a wailer sha, i was just uninterested.

This is Obi's response :

"Personally, I have no investment; not even one Naira. Go to Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) today, if you will see Peter Obi as owner of one share; it doesn’t exist. Next is a family company started by my own parents and as their child, I ran it at a time, and when I became Governor, I had nothing to do with it till today."

Can you show us where he said he invested Anambra State money into his parents' company, Next? I am sorry; I think your comprehension skill is poor.

I have advised you to stop comparing apples to mangoes. I will still advise you to shove away your sentiment.

Obi invested in an international company, though, some critic believe there will be conflict of interest. On the other hand, Babachir stole millions of naira. Obi's 30 million naira investment on behalf Of the State is worth 100 million naira now. Can that be said of Babachir, "the grasscutter"?

My problem with you guys is that you deliberately misquote someone for malicious reasons. Obi said his family invested in a brewery that came outside the country to establish. The state govt also invested in the brewery. Anybody can invest in the brewery, cos they want investors to get bigger. Pls stop all this rubbish of misquoting a man for malicious reasons
