Previous President Olusegun Obasanjo on Thursday rejected cases that he would battle to partition Nigeria.

He made the comment in light of articulation credited to him that if President Muhammadu Buhari rigs the up and coming presidential decision, he would separate Nigeria.

Obasanjo said he is a "solid adherent to the non-divisbility" of Nigeria since he battled for the solidarity of Nigeria and "spit some portion of my blood in the war front."

An announcement marked by Obasanjo's media assistant, Kehinde Akinyemi, clarified that the previous President, while talking at a book dispatch in Abuja, said he could comprehend "the dissatisfaction and feeling of sorrow by Nigerians who observe apparently, powerlessly as Nigeria is by and large damagingly and disruptively controlled."

The announcement understands: "I read two or three days prior in the online life an announcement credited to me that if Buhari rigs the race, I will battle to isolate Nigeria. The individuals who realize me will realize that such an announcement will never originate from me.

"Melancholic wretchedness is no alternative for us whenever. I trust Nigerians will battle back not to partition the nation but instead to join it in majority rules system and great administration and God, the Creator of Nigeria, will be in favor of such valiant Nigerians to get us...........................
