AS INEC RELEASES FINAL LIST OF A'IBOM GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATES, ATTAH TALKS TOUGH ON TAKING OVER HILLTOP MANSION

As Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) releases final list of Governorship Candidate across the country, candidate of Democratic Alternative (DA), Akwa Ibom, Mr Johnson Attah, has boasted his party will defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to capture the State in March 2 governorship election.


Attah was speaking, Thursday, to journalists in Ikot Ebom Itam, Itu Local Government headquarters, after rounding off his campaign in the area.


Flanked by his deputy, Mrs Ann Ukpong, stakeholders of the party and his array of supporters, the Mkpat Enin born politician said Democratic Alternative (DA) has been repositioned for greatness and the confidence of residents in the party was growing by the day.


Johnson Attah informed that Akwa Ibom people were tired of what he called the failures of the PDP administration in the state.


“Democratic Alternative will win in the forthcoming Governorship election slated for 2nd March this year in Akwa Ibom. We are very confident. Gentlemen, the people are tired of both PDP and APC because they are bird of the feathers"


Continuing, he said, "I'm sure you heard what various speakers said during our street to street campaign here in Ikot Ebom Itam. There is hunger, there is starvation and we are here as a perfect alternative to give our poor people hope"


Attah further hinted that,“With the growing confidence in the DA, we will surely win,”


Also speaking, the Deputy governorship candidate of the party, Mrs Ann Ukpong referred to Mr Attah as a man of integrity with the capacity to deliver.


She described him as a successful businessman with a very rich pedigree, saying the party trusted in his capacity to lead the State out of hunger.


Meanwhile, members and supporters of the party moved from one part of the ancient town to another to sell their manifesto to the people of Itu.


They have so far visited Mkpat Enin, Ikot Abasi, Eastern Obolo, Abak, Etim Ekpo, Ika, Ibiono Ibom as well as Itu Local Government Areas.
