by the way i don't shop in tescos or asda so i wouldn't know i prefer m&s food. when i'm in nigeria i delight in shopping in the everyday market, not their so called supermarket. even here in london, supermarket aint all that, full of outdated foods with preservatives, |
Re: Remembering Home (Nigeria) by sisimose(f): 10:05pm On Apr 21, 2007 |
very true i never buy my veggies from supermarkets, i go to the local green grocer, his is by far fresher lol Yes M&s good for food. lets not be so snobby about our own ways, check out that pepper in that picture and tell me you dont feel like eating nice rice and stew with assorted meat Bol? |

my dear bol, i perfectly understand your feelings but truth be told all we see on this site are the skylines of victoria island, abuja, newly built airport terminal and Tinapa. But let us be honest with ourselves what minute percentage of Nigerians live in VI, Abuja? How many people will ever get to see the airport terminal? When 80% of Nigerians live below the poverty line we can easily figure out how many will ever be able to afford to window shop at Tinapa. For once let us celebrate the life of the common man, those on whose backs our luxury has been derived. If your white friends are put off by pictures of our molues and market women then i don't consider them true friends. After all you have not gone back to Nigeria in protest over the incessant killings and muggings that take place in Britain and your white friends arent making any special effort to hide such from you in order to win your friendship. This must be ijebu garri!
