Supreme Court affirms
judgement of lower court

The Supreme Court has affirmed the judgement
of Justice Chiwendu Nworgu on the congress
conducted by the All Progressives Congress,
APC in Rivers state.
The Supreme Court also addressed the issue of
representation and held that Chinweikpe Chieme
of the Senator Magnus Abe group of the APC is
the legal representative of the APC in the state.
The apex court, therefore, upheld the appeal of
Ibrahim Umar and twenty-two other aggrieved
members of the APC that they were restrained
from participating in the ward, local government
and state congresses of the party.

Am particularly elated about this judgment not because d truth was upheld but because with this judgment d cabal in d Presidency has once again lost a major battle. The whole shenanigans surrounding d bullying of d suspended CJN was all about having in d short-term a pliable CJN that will make Rivers and Zamfara States have APC candidates and in d long-term having compromised election tribunal judges that will favour APC perhaps election results come up for adjudication especially up to d Supreme Court. With this bold ruling today by d apex court just watch in d coming days how d steam in fighting Onnoghen will gradually lose potency. My unalloyed respect goes to d men and women of d bench who were able to rise up to d occasion in this case.
