Job Interviews And The Purpose They Serve by expert101(m): 2:17pm On Aug 22, 2010
Hi everybody, our topic today will be on interview.

Interview is defined as the conversation between interviewer and interviewee to assess the qualities and capabilities of the interviewee. Why is it that an interview is so important? It is very essential in finding the perfect candidate for the position.

I guess everyone goes through an interview, it may not be a job interview but it could be entering a college for the first time or something else. If you receive an invitation to an interview, you usually feel happy and excited but also terrified. Why terrified? Terrified because you might not be able to impress the interviewer with how you answers the questions. There's no need to be terrified during the interviews especially in job interviews because they are just humans like us, all you need to do is prepare your self before you go to that interview. Equipped your self with the necessary information about the company and the position that you are applying for. This will help you with your responses.

Image is also important during job interviews, you need to present your self properly, you should look neat and professional. You should learn how to get good impressions, though this is a skill and can be obtained through constant practice. However, the reward will be so great that you will surely get the job and you will also succeed in all aspects of your life. Confidence is another factor that is very essential in job interviews, believe in your self that you can do it. If you don't believe, all your preparation, skills and your capabilities will be put to waste. Believing in yourself is also one of the key to your success.

In interview sessions, your quick reasoning and responses are being assessed as well as your personality. Personality is assessed through body movement, hand gestures, facial expressions and how you express your thoughts and opinions on a subject. Your opinions must be expressed in a professional level. Avoid opinions that are based on your personal experiences. Interview is also a good venue for you to sell out your self. It is like marketing all your good qualities and strengths plus re-enforcing your weaknesses.

The flow of the interview is normally controlled by the interviewers. Of course, they select what type of questions they are going to ask but if you stay focused, there are many options that you can do in changing the flow by conditioning their minds or improve you chances that you are indeed the best person for the job.

Some people think that landing the job is merely on good fortune and it has nothing to do whether you did well or not in the interview. Well, that is huge mistake and a misconception. These people thought that the result was based on your looks, that you fit more for the job or it is just meant to be. Getting the job is not all from luck but it is made from your serious efforts, knowledge and skills that you were able to impress the interviewer and get his approval that you are the most qualified candidate for the position. You simply out shines them all.
