Senator representing Bayelsa East constituency, Ben Murray-Bruce, has condemned those he called beneficiaries of a former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, who now insult him.

He was reacting to the statement by the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, at the All Progressives Congress presidential rally in Lagos, where he threw a jibe at Obasanjo that President Muhammadu Buhari doesn’t have time to write letters.

He said, “I have told them that you don’t have time to write letters; you get the job done.”



In reaction, Murray-Bruce on his Twitter handle said, “President Olusegun Obasanjo is an icon. He ended the Nigerian Civil War. The first military head of state to voluntarily handed over to an elected President in Africa. He stabilised the democracy we are now enjoying. It is rather unfortunate that the beneficiaries now insult him!”

Does the twitter no common sense senator expect us to idolize and worship Obasanjo when he has become an expired milk that is only good for nothing but dustbin?

Tinubu was never an Obasanjo beneficiary, rather Obasanjo benefited from there struggle.

Is it not the same Obasanjo that refused to give Lagos State allocation for almost 4 years during Tinubu's Tenure? That gave strength to Lagos State who survived without him. What relevance was he to Tinubu and Lagos. He's got nothing to say.
