I am a student of UNN. Architecture. 200 level.
I am 22 yrs old and I want to start up a business.
A barber shop. And Employ staff...say 2 or 3

Please how possible is it for me to run a Barber shop successfully for the next 3 years from school.

What challenges will I face?

I have barbing experience but I cannot always be in the shop due to lectures.

Pls what advice will you give me

The capital is already ready. Will it affect my cgpa.

Get barbers and pitch your idea of setting up a shop and giving it out base on hire purchase.
Agreement drafted by a lawyer in the presence of two military men

Or

Set up and give as a franchise with returns paid weekly or monthly

Are u leaving 200L or entering 200L?
Because ASUU just called off strike.
If you are entering 200L, i will advice u suspend anything business.
200L is most stressful year in architecture and it is the foundation.
It is very different from 100L. U won't have time to brush your teeth at times, there will be so many assignment to do.

But If u are entering 300L, Then i will suggest u learn an online trade u can run and monitor yourself at start up. U can employ hands as time goes on. But do not open any barber shop for anybody. Who ever u put there will use the shop for his personal needs, they will cheat u & u will close it sooner or later losing ur funds.
