People feel the oil in stockfish including nutrients have been sucked out of it, but i believe the opposite. which is correct? i need an informed reply pls.

You are right my guy. Some people think that stockfish has lost all it's nutrients but that's not true. You know when you look at it looking much like a wood you won't think anything better than that it is being dried by an artificial mechanism but no it is being dried naturally by the wind and sun. That looks like a myth anyway.
