Prof. Monday Igbafen, the Chairman of Ambrose Alli University (AAU) chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has been suspended by university authorities over allegations of sexual assault.

Igbafen, an Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy, was suspended after his appearance before a disciplinary committee on allegations of sexual misconduct.

This was made public in a statement signed by Edward Aihevba, the university’s spokesman, on Wednesday in Benin, Edo State capital.

The statement noted that Igbafen had been arraigned before the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee (SSDC) on allegations of gross misconduct bordering on sexual harassment and threatening students to have sex with him in exchange for marks.

According to the statement, Igbafen was found culpable by the university’s investigative panel.

A relative of one of the victims had threatened to take the institution to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission ICPC if Igbafen wasn’t prosecuted.

Dr Monday Igbafen fought the management when they were forcefully trying to boycott the strike and he won


So the school is using an already dead case which he was found innocent to distablize the man

The truth is that most 'aluta' lecturers active in ASUU and ASUP are the most corrupt in the education system. They are the ones who enjoy fuccking students and discussing it in their offices.

THE SINFUL BEHAVIOURS OF PEOPLE TODAY
In the Name of Allah Most Gracious Most Merciful
Glory be to Allah (SWT) Who commanded us to obey Him and prohibits rebellion. He promises Paradise and many blessings for those who obey Him, and Hell coupled with severe torment to those who rebel against His command. We believe He is the only God without partners and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is His servant and Messenger may the blessings of Allah be upon the Prophet, his family, members of his household, companions and whoever follow their teachings till the Last Day.
O you Muslims! The Book of Allah (Qur’an) is calling us to faith and His Messenger is calling us to righteousness, but it is as if we are answering neither the Qur’an nor the Messenger: it seems our ears are blocked or our hearts are covered. Is it that we allow Shaytan to over-power us, or that we allow him to decorate the road to sin so that we would enjoy threading on it? Why won’t it seem so, when our youths know nothing about manners, our elders are involved in all manners of immorality and indecency; no longer bothering about their guardianship position in the society, our women no longer care about modesty and the use of Islamic dress, children have no any other preoccupation than causing one trouble after another? Evil conduct and sinful attitudes are in their alarming stage, such that it is difficult to distinguish between the leaders and the led or between the righteous and the sinful; everybody is hell-bent in committing sin; the young are not afraid of the old, and the old are not shy to commit in the presence of the young. Allah says::
وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الْأَبْصَارُ
“Do not think that Allah is unaware of that which the wrong-doers do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stare in horror (at what it has committed).”
The character of the early Muslims was such that, when they hear verses of the Qur’an and Ahadith of the Prophet (SAW) and understand the commands and the prohibitions in them, they say, ‘we hear and we obey’, and then put their knowledge into practice. They do not persist in committing a sin after it has been plainly explained to them. Their eyes and hearts were very fearful of Allah for what they know of the truth. They run away from misguidance the way a victim will run away from its raider. If they see any sign of Allah or His Miracle, or if they meditate on the creations of Allah, and they understand the essence of Allah in them, they would not be headless, but rather increase in faith and submit to Him the more, saying:
رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذَا بَاطِلًا سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
“Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.”
Simply, they do not go deeper into sin while they have deeper understanding of the rules of Allah, and that is exactly how a Muslim should be.
Quite contrary to the practices of those righteous Muslims of before, people today do not want to hear the truth even if in the truth there is their salvation. If they hear the truth, like the original unbelievers of those days, they think it is the day–to–day stories formulated by somebody who want to get the attention of people. Some people do follow that which suites their purpose even if in it there is Shaytan’s trap for them. If they should hear any Message from Qur’an or Hadith, they do not benefit from it, for the effects of such Messages last in them only for a short period after which they will go back to their misdeeds. If you don’t find one betraying trust you would find him stealing: it happens, you see a seemingly-complete gentleman, seriously reciting the verses of the Qur’an in the Mosque, but the next minute, as soon as he discovers he is all alone, he packs valuable items belonging either to the Mosque or other Muslims and disappears. If you don’t find one cheating others you would find him careless about promises: people will make promises which right from time they know they will not keep, and they would cover their faults under the pretense that it is Allah Who did not wish it to happen. If you don’t find one disobeying his parents or elders, you would find him not firm and regular in prayers: you will see a Muslim choosing for himself which prayer to be observed. Some do not even come to the Mosque at all except on Fridays or even during Eid occasions and they feel nothing bad about it.
May Allah include us among the occupants of the Paradise. May He forgive and overlook our shortcomings and have mercy upon us.














PART II
We give thanks to Allah (SWT) at all circumstances, we seek refuge in Him from the influence of those who go astray, we seek His blessings in all our undertakings and seek His protection from evils of life and death, the evils of the anti-Christ as the contemporary evil of the society. Allah says:
ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
“Evil (sins and disobedience of Allah etc) has appeared (and became wide spread) on land and sea because of what the hands of men have machinated (oppression and evil conduct), that Allah may make them taste a part of that which they have caused, in order that they may return (to Allah by repenting to Him and begging His Pardon).”
Many people have rendered the teachings of this religion ineffective. They have crossed and are still crossing the boundary, which Allah said they should not cross. They are making caricature of His Law and no longer respect His injunctions. Ethics and behaviours are nothing to write home about. People do commit evil on top of evil as if they are the ones who created themselves, even with a feeling of security. Even if you tell them to fear Allah and abandon their evil ways, they hardly believe in you. If people don’t have faith in the Qur’an and Sunnah, then in which speech will they believe? Allah says
فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَ اللَّهِ وَآَيَاتِهِ يُؤْمِنُونَ
“Then in which speech after (that of) Allah and His Verses will they believe?
If people in this our contemporary period are still committing the crime of those generations of people before us, how sure are they that what befell those people at that time will not befall them now? How can the people who profess that their guidance is the Qur’an, and that their religion is Islam, be involved in widespread evils and atrocities? We should know that if sin is manifested in a community or nation, cheating, bribery and injustice are considered normal in everyday life, arrogance, rudeness and disobedience to a constituted authority are the behaviours of people, then the moral values of people are no longer desirable. And once this been the case, the resulting effect is enmity and hatred between people, injustice and oppression from leaders and incurable diseases in epidemic proportions and discomfort in life, where everybody will be complaining about one thing or the other, and solutions to the problems would not be sighted in the near future. When this happens, Allah would then gradually take away the pious and righteous ones and we will all be left at the mercy of those who are misguided such that every person will be in a state of lost, except those few who struggle and guard themselves against evil.
Because of this and so many more reasons, we must desist from committing all those things that we know are not allowed even if we derive pleasure when we do them. We must repent and the repentance should be immediate.
We are therefore expected to repent for our sins before we die in sin, as death has no calendar. This is the call of Allah:
وَمَنْ لَا يُجِبْ دَاعِيَ اللَّهِ فَلَيْسَ بِمُعْجِزٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ مُبِينٍ
“And whosoever does not respond to Allah’s caller, he cannot escape on earth.”
May Allah continue to protect us from evil and immorality. May He make us victorious over the evils in our hearts. May Allah continue to guide us aright and make us the best Muslims we are suppose to be. May He also protect us from the evils of those who commit evil; men and women, the ones we know and the ones we don’t know, from among the humans and the Jinns.
