Even before opening the thread, from just the topic alone on the homepage, I knew the wicked father will be an Akwa Ibom man.

I know there are laws against this and others such as child abuse, forced domestic bond age etc, but what's the use of passing laws they are not ready to enforce?

A young boy simply identified as Micheal has been rescued after being abandoned by his father who accused him of witchcraft and being responsible for the hardship in the family in Akwa Ibom.

According to reports, the father tried to kill the boy on two occasions by stabbing a machete on his head.

It was gathered that the father's attempt to kill him failed so instead he took Michael far away from home in the middle of the night so he wouldn't be able to trace home again.

Since then Michael has been on the road all alone and even got knocked down by a passing car before he was recently rescued by Danish aid-worker, Anja Ringgren Loven.

It seems some Akwa Ibom are really primitive and always quick to label their own kids witches and wizards.

We all remember the case of young Ernest who slept in the bush for 2yrs and was left to die after been tagged a witch but was rescued by a beautiful, sensible Danish humanitarian called Anja.

Now, Ernest is top of his class, being celebrated by those fools who tagged him a witch.

This little boy case will not be different and that deep cut you see on his head will always serve as a reminder to him that not all men are fit to be called "Father's"
