INEC Chairman Replies Oshiomhole About Postponing Elections


Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Saturday afternoon attacked Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), over the postponement of the elections.

At INEC’s press conference to explain the reasons for shifting the polls by a week, Oshiomhole wondered why the commission waited until 2am of the day of the elections, to move it.

He described the action of the commission as an embarrassment to the country, demanding that INEC should tender an apology.

“Why at 2am on the day of the election? Why? The problem is not about the postponement but why 2am on the day of the election. You have explanations to do. If you had told us since, we would have planned.

“Why didn’t you tell us 48 hours ago? You must apologise to Nigerians because you have embarrassed us as a nation,” Oshiomhole said.

In response, Yakubu said: “Until close to 2am, we were still confident that the elections would hold.”

This is the funny thing about big hypocrites like Adams Oshiomole cum the APC regime/party-always appearing as "sanctimonious hypocrite and criminal saints"

Imagine a govt that have bastardized our national life including infecting all agencies of government under it for the past four years asking an APC-infested INEC to apologise to the Nigerian nation as if it's not the Buhari govt that is responsible or involved in shortcomings of an organization like INEC.

Oshiomole is part of this ruling opposition APC government that have so much insulted the sensibility & intelligence of reasonable Nigerians with their overt lies, policy somersult, cluelessness, gross incompetency and ineptitude yet have never deemed it fit to organized a national day of apology

Well, the moribund party/govt was just spared a one week Grace to prepare it's baggage because the APC government is leaving our national life by next Sat.

I don't know why I laugh these days on issues concerning naija cos we hardly learn from our past mistake.

The script writer called the INEC chairman to postpone the election in the midnight. That's one of the reasons Nigerians have to vote out this government, everything has become a joke and abused under Buhari.

Anyway some are very angry, all the money already given out for vote buying had gone.

Oshiomhole please sync with us. By 2 am, we were still separating 10 States for special treatment.

I still maintain that there is no way Mahmood Yakubu could call off an election billed to start within a few hours without the approval of the presidency. There is absolutely no way!
